Independence, yussssss. Love me some freedom. For fireworks, we ventured over to the Naples pier. Google Maps let us down, but we still managed to find our way, following a crowd of other America enthusiasts who all seemed just as confused and lost as we did. But after walking for a while and hearing but not seeing the fireworks being set off around us, we finally came to a narrow trail that led to the beach and the fabled Roman candles. It was like a midnight vigil out there, a bunch of people sitting quietly in the night as some somber patriotic music filled the air. We were a few minutes late to the show but it was still as awesome as ever. I had my camera out the entire time because you never know when the awesomest firework is about to be set off. And you know I hate missing opportunities like that.
It is harder than you think
To find a good pair of shoulders
To which a competent head is attached
To find a good pair of shoulders
To which a competent head is attached
Song: "Fireworks" by The Wedding. I'm super clever with today's song, yeah? It's pop-punk with a very audible country flair, including a choir and a fiddle solo. Yay America!
